I love ice cream but it doesn’t always love me!
Even the most delicious, crafted, store-bought artisan “gelato” has lots of sugar, eggs and dairy which can cause lots of stomach and digestive issues and is loaded with calories.
I’ve got a delicious, nutritious, high protein and easy peasy plantbased “nice-cream” that only requires a food processor!
Ingredients for 4 servings
3 cups frozen dragon fruit, pineapple, mango
3/4 cup yogurt (vanilla or coconut works well here but plain is good too! Option to use vegan also)
2-3 tbsp milk of choice
1-2 tbsp whole cane sugar (sucanat), optional
3 tbsp vanilla protein powder I used https://www.rawelements.ca Sunwarrior Clean Keto
Directions:
- Place yogurt, sugar if using, protein powder and frozen fruit in food processor and mix well, slowly adding milk.
- Best to eat right away or pour into popsicle molds and freeze, if you can wait?!
