Tartar Sauce

Vegan Tartar Sauce

I remember eating tartar sauce at least 30 years ago with fish sticks and I loved the dill and creamy tangy, taste of it!  Little did I know that it wasn’t at all healthy!

Here is my tasty vegan version which is lighter, fresher and  healthier for you!

Ingredients (makes 1 cup)

3/4 cups veganaise mayo or unsweetened coconut yogurt 

1/3 cup fermented pickles, finely chopped

1 tbsp parsley, finely chopped

1 tsp dried dill

1 tbsp red onion, finely chopped

Juice of 1/2 lime, more if you like it tangy

1 garlic clove, minced

1/4-1/2 tsp Herbamare and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Mix everything together by hand in a small bowl.
  2. Will keep in the fridge for up to 5 days.
